The journal is managed by students in the Department of Classics at the University of Reading who are supervised by academic members of staff.

Editorial Board

Dylan Ellis

Dylan Ellis has received a BA in Classical Studies from the University of Reading in 2025 and is currently studying for an MLitt in Classics at the University of St. Andrews. His research interests include Ancient Greek literature, Literary Criticism, Intertextuality, and Literary theory. His dissertation revolved around the role of deceit and persuasion in Ancient Greek literature in the cases of Prometheus, Athene, and Odysseus. He is also interested in Latin literature, on which he is working in the next phase of his studies.

Zavier Knyvet Southon

Zavier received a BA in Classics at the University of Reading in 2025, and is now studying for an MSt in Greek Language and Literature at the University of Oxford. His research interests include Ancient Greek Literature (especially Epic!), Comparative Philology and Historical Linguistics. His undergraduate dissertation discussed the linguistic function and development of epithets for Odysseus and his family in the Iliad and Odyssey

Aster Blunn

Aster received a BA in Classical Studies and English Literature at the University of Reading in 2025, and is now studying for an MA in Classics and Ancient History there also. Their research interests include Ancient Roman literature (primarily Ovid), Queer, Gender and Postcolonial Theory, and Reception. Her undergraduate dissertation explored the presentation of Iphis, Caeneus, and Hermaphroditus in Ovid’s Metamorphoses and whether they can be described as “transgender”. The next phase of their studies is focussing on the reception of Ovidian gender transformations in the Medieval Ovide Moralise and Ovidius Moralizatus.
